To New Beginnings....

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; - Ecc 3:1

So then what's the purpose of this blog you might ask? Over the past year my life has changed significantly. I got engaged, I purchased my first home, I lost my last living grandparent (grandmother), I got married, my family home of over 30 years was sold, and I'm about to be a dad for the first time.

OK, so what's the big deal you say? Well, when my grandmother past and the family gathered at the family home, we started going through everything and seeing who wanted what. Shortly after that I found out my wife was pregnant and it got me thinking about legacies. What was the legacy that my grandmother left us? what is the legacy that my mom and dad will leave? More importantly what is the legacy that I will leave for my children. My wife and I are not wealthy so we can't leave millions of dollars. What we do have is our faith in Christ, our rich heritage, and my passion for cooking and food.

So what does that have to do with this blog you say? I have decided that part of what I will leave for my children will be here. On the interwebs. My wife has always told me I should write down my recipes so I thought I would create a blog. I can share my love of all things food and share my faith while I'm at it. For those of you that choose to read this I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as I have in making all these delicious meals.
